Last Saturday, an amazing small group from our church hosted a Pancake Breakfast to help us with the final costs of Christabel's adoption. We experienced real biblical love that day! It was truly the gospel in action as we watched people give of their time to prepare & serve, and people who came out to enjoy pancakes and support us with donations! We are so humbled to be surrounded by a community that puts love into action!!

Now...in case you were wondering how much we raised?!?

Um...we were shocked too!!!

Unbelievable blessing. Pressed down & overflowing. Floodgates open crazy wide. blessed.blessed.blessed!!!

We wish we were able to mention each person who had a part in bringing Christabel home. I hope some day we are able to express to her just how much love was poured out by so many people all over the world to help bring her HOME! That she [and we] were loved so much that people opened up their hearts, they prayed & they gave!

We just spent 16 months watching God do amazing things through countless people and organizations! And, after all these months of his amazing provision, God is still able to teach us yet another lesson in faith!!

So we decided we better update the goal thermometer to the right. Now that Christabel is home we were able to update the actual total adoption cost.[before now it had been the estimate our agency had provided] Once we added the money from the pancake breakfast...and some other recent donations...we are left with a balance of $372!!!

17 months ago we could not fathom where the money for this adoption would come from and as we sit here today we think "oh ye of little faith"! Why do we ever doubt??
