asking boldly [final fundraiser]

And I said to the man 

who stood at the gate of the year: 

"Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown."

And he replied: 

"Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the Hand of God. 

That shall be to you better than light and safer than a known way."

It has been one year since we realized that God had an amazing plan that would bring a 4th daughter into our family!

I am NOT a person who likes unknowns.
And the definition of adoption is "jumping headlong into the great unknown"!

The greatest unknown has been "where will all this money come from?"

I have talked to God A LOT about it.
But in the end...we jumped into the "great unknown" and had faith that God would take care of ALL the details!

And [of course] He has.

Often just about the time we started to get that pit in our stomach about an impending financial deadline! When we traveled last month we had to take yet another leap of faith and know that God would somehow cover the cost of that trip...and make a way for the trip to bring Christabel home as
well.

Scary? Yes! But this year has been full of opportunities to be faithful in the unknown!

This brings us to the asking boldly.

We have organized our final fundraiser, and we are reaching out to our friends, families, coworkers, church family & anyone else who my feel compelled to help us bring our sweet Christabel home! [We anticipate traveling to pick her up in the next 2 to 4 months.]

We are excited to be able to use Strikers Family Fun Center in Jenison, MI for a night of fun, fellowship & fundraising :] There are batting cages & go karts, mini-golf & yard games, and there will be several delicious desserts to choose from too!! So...even if you have no interest in the aforementioned activities...come and enjoy a tasty treat and just fellowship with us!

Join us on Thursday September 18th from 6 - 9 pm at Strikers, located at 303 Baldwin St. in Jenison. All the activities will be free, but donations will be collected to help with the final costs to bring Christabel HOME!!
